At the request of the management of the Municipal Non-Commercial Enterprise "City Clinical Hospital No. 6", LLC DB "Architect Expert" developed a project for the reconstruction of a shelter in compliance with current protective structure standards.


The project proposed converting part of the shelter into an underground operating block with all necessary and auxiliary rooms. This will become the first facility of such multifunctional and strategic significance in Ukraine.


The underground operating block not only helps to offload existing surgical departments but also serves as a reserve facility in case of destruction or other circumstances that prevent the main operating blocks from functioning.

• In peacetime, the structure will be used for performing scheduled and unscheduled operations in the operating block, as well as for the use of the resuscitation ward;
• In wartime, it will provide protection from modern weapons of mass destruction, with the part containing the protective structure also used for performing scheduled and unscheduled operations in the operating block.
